Thanks for the heads-up on this podcast, I will definitely check it out. Such a shame that there seems to be negative comments about Annabel's voice and music.

BTW, I listened to the podcast. While the episode itself didn't offer any earthshaking news, there were two responses to questions that Annabell gave that I found mildly interesting. First was her response concerning the situation to DJEMF. Her discussion regarding the several of the horses' health and their care definitely gave me the impression that the girls were not compelled for legal reasons to take care of the horses, which is admirable. However, it also seemed that the girls realized from the get-go that the care and financial assistance for the horses was going to be a long-term endeavor, something that most DJEMF contributors may not have been aware of. Can anyone who is/was a member weigh in on that?
The second was her somewhat evasive and convoluted response regarding whether the girls would put out a book regarding their memories of their father. I found the response interesting because Annabell didn't give a straightforward "No". Considering her answer, it seems to me that the girls wish to keep their memories of their dad relatively private, which is perfectly fine. However, I wonder about this lack of candidness - is it due to the girls' not wanting to offend a potentially vocal segment of Davy's fans that seem to have an unhealthy level of possessiveness towards Davy and his family? Or could it be as Annabell basically said, that the logistics of the girls' far flung locations and schedules make such a project difficult (despite the Internet and cell phones)?

You bring up a good point FlamingMo. With technology available these days, it wouldn't be difficult for the girls to collaborate on a book, no matter the distance. It would be a good money maker for the herd even more so than the vegetarian cookbook.
I do wonder a bit if Anabell's reluctance/evasiveness stems from her wanting a solo career without the "daughter of Davy Jones" label-kind of hard to tell with her sometimes.
Personally, I would love to read the girls'memories of him and see what he was like through their perspective.
You are spot on about the way that some of the fans out there are so possessive over Davy and his family too! Between the Beavertown Events and Conventions, those with the sense of entitlement were out in full force.

I was going to compliment Flamingmo on all of that as well. It's only Micky by himself on the boat, but can you imagine if the three remaining guys were on that trip and you were trapped on a boat with some of those "I'm a better fan than you" fans? I thought at one time that the Beavertown event would be fun to go to, but after seeing Facebook posting over the last couple of years--not so much. And I think you're right MDLK, if the girls wrote a book they would surely make some money for the herd.

Thanks guys!
I think you bring up an excellent point MDLK, concerning Annabel's reticence about discussing certain personal matters as an effort to distance herself from her father professionally. That makes very good sense. I also agree with you that a book by the girls would make a lot of money - possibly even greatly surpassing whatever profits they've made with the cookbook.
I'm sad to hear about some of the poor behavior shown by fans at events such as Beavertown, but unsurprised. It's a shame that some folks have to act like that. It's part of the reason why I don't participate in cons, etc.
