I saw this on Facebbok tonight. Tomorrow is the 51st anniversary of the first time the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show! That would also be the 51st debut for Davy since he was on the same show. Wow. I remember seeing it that night. But of course that was before the Monkees so I was all into the Beatles that night.

It was fun to see the Grammy Awards last year with Paul and Ringo in attendance plus all the fan fare surrounding the Beatles Anniversary.
I wasn't born during the British Invasion but I have come to appreciate the music from that era.

BTW, I recently saw an episode of "Antiques Road Show" where one of the featured collectors had a signed photograph of the Beatles from their first Ed Sullivan appearance. One of the ways he was able to verify the date was with a studio copy of the lineup for that evening, which had also showed listing for "Georgia Brown and children - Oliver!". I squealed at the sight.
