I was there--at the same late show. But reading his rendition it seems we were at different ones. I have no memory whatsoever of a lady walking up on stage and kissing Davy although I will admit we had probably the worst seats in the house, clear to the back about 2nd row from the back wall. I remember what dawned on me the minute we walked into the building was that there were three generations of fans at it. The 60's, the MTV rebroadcast ones and the kids of the 60's who were with their moms. And it was packed for both shows I guess.

My next door neighbor from my old neighborhood went to that show at the Carlton too. I remember her coming over to show me her Peter Tork tee shirt the next day. I will have to ask her if she remembers that woman kissing Davy or not. Maybe the author added that for comic effect, who knows, lol!
